PacBell's DSL works great with Linux.

I've got a box running Redhat 6 running ipchains without a hitch.

Make sure that you check the basics (correct driver for network card, 
IP address, netmask, correct default gateway, etc), that's what I 
messed up when setting up my Linux box.
