Color problem

Hi There,

I have some problem setting the wallpaper for my machine. I use xv and set
some wallpaper. After that if I open netscape or acrobat reader the wall
paper looks blurred (looses the clarity/colors). Is there some parameter I
should set to avoid this thing ?.

I would like to find out why this happens and how to avoid it. Any URLs
please...
