Re: TCP/IP via IPX

Yes, I do it all the time...

But since you have NT servers around, why do it this way?

(sorry this is not a linux answer)

You can have NT login as a USER to the Novell server and then share the
Novell drive mappings.

Since NT's SMB protocol demands precedence over Linux's Samba in a mixed
enviornment, and NT forces itself to become the browse master, NT would be
the better "host" for the Novell mapped drives (shares to you winblows
people).

Subject: TCP/IP via IPX

Hi all
At work we switching from Novel to NT networking, so
I am trying to configure Linux to act as a gateway between Novel and
Windows NT network. basicaly I need to mount Novel's share and export it
thrue Samba to all NT clients.
Is it posible to do ? Would it be fast enough for about 50 NT's and 5 Novel
servers ?

Thanks for any help,
 Mikhail
