I put the complete contents of the Red Hat 6.0 distribution on a DOS FAT
16 partition. This did not work either--I got the exact same errors
after I chose UPGRADE (it asks several times if I have a SCSI adapter
and gives me several "Mount failed: Device or resource busy" errors).
I don't think the problem in the first place was with failure to read my
FAT 32 partition. As I mentioned, the install program didn't seem to
have a problem loading the second stage RAM disk, which it must must get
from the RedHat/base directory, located on my FAT 32 partition.
Is there another reason why the RedHat 6.0 install program cannot mount
my partitions?
