I have an IBM ThinkPad 770z with a 14.1GB Hard drive.
Currently I have RedHat 5.2 installed. I downloaded the
ISO image of RH6.0 from ftp://129.21.135.202/pub
I was able to successfully install on a generic PC from the
CD I created from the image. When I try to install RH6.0
on the thinkpad it boots fine, but when it comes to Disk
Druid the install fails with the message:
"An error occurred reading the partioion table for the block
device hda. The error was: No such file or directory"
The only close FAQ I could find was:
Disk Druid won't find hard drive
and that solution was not helpful. I have also tried FDisk
with the same error message as a result. When I try an
Upgrade instead of install I get the error Message:
"You don't have any Linux partitions.
You can't upgrade this system!"
The system is dual boot, Linux & Win 98.
Lilo is in the MBR RedHat 5.2 & Win98 both run fine.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
