Thanks all.

While examining the directory tree at:

http://www.uwsg.indiana.edu/usail/external/install-guide/node103.html#1935

I noticed that some directories like /bin, /etc, & /lib  appear in more
than one branch.   Are these duplicate directories or are they different
and if different, in what way?    And, if duplicate, could you
elaborate?
