window98+Linux

Hi all,
I have a 6G hard disk. I installed RedHat 5.0 before then it ran
already, then i fdisked into 2 partition : 4G for win98 and 2G for
Linux. After having installed win98 properly, i carried on installing
Linux from CDRom, but when i created partition, Linux informed that
"mount failed : /dev/hdXY" and i could not pass this step.
Any tips for this one ? Thanks so much.
