You can password protect your cmos, and disable floppy boots. Then you can
change
the timeout in /etc/lilo.conf to zero or take out the prompt all together. This
does make
it a bit harder. You can also set a password in lilo.conf.
man lilo.conf
The console can be made a bit more secure. At least you can slow down or
dissuade bored passer
byers who want to mess with your system.
