installing a LAN card after installation of RH 5.2

Hi!
    I'm quite new to Linux. Can anyone tell me how one goes about 
installing a LAN card after having installed RedHat 5.2
    I have an SN 3200 LAN card which was not installed during the 
installation of RH 5.2 as the card drivers were not available. Now I 
want to network it. I have finally found the Linux drivers for the card 
and want to install it. How do i go about it?

Secondly, I face an odd problem using X. Some of the administration 
tools just do not start!! I was told that this is a frequent problem 
with RH and I would need to reinstall it. what do i do? Oddly enough, 
most of the other stuff works!!
