Hello!
I downloaded the ISO image of the RedHat 6.0 CD and I burned it.
The CD is bootable: I inserted it in my CDROM and the installation started.
I chose "expert" ('cause I had problems...), italian keyboard, installation
from the CDROM and I chose my SCSI card (Adaptec AHA2940U2W with 2.11.0
firmware). Then I saw the program scanning my devices, founding:
id0 IBM SCSI Ultra/2 HD
id1 IBM SCSI Fast HD
id2 IBM MagnetoOptical Drive
id3 YAMAHA 4260 CD Recorder
id4 PIONEER 36x CD-ROM
At this point I received a lot of these error messages:
<4> scsi : aborting command due to timeout: pid 45, scsi 0, channel 0, id
5,
lun 0
test unit ready 00 00 00 00 00
If I hit CTRL-C I get a "Kernel Panic" message and the PC hangs... I tried
to let my PC work for an hour but nothing changed: I saw a lot of the
messages as above.
I have on my PC a RedHat 5.2, installed with the same configuration as now
(same SCSI card, same devices) and I hadn't any problems installing it.
Which is the problem now??? How can I solve?
TNX!
