I have been trying to figure out how to get my RH 5.2 (2.0.36) to not go
into i586 mode and go into i686 mode. I have set it to PPro and I tried to
get things to work, but once compiled... it reverts back to the i586. I'm
not sure if I have this setup correctly, but I know that AMD has some
interesting quirks when it comes to some Linux distributions.
I'm currently running a AMD K6/2 300 3D Now! chip and I don't quite
recall the MB manufacturer right off hand. (If required I can pop the case
and let you know). Any help in this would be appreciated.
