Re: kde install



Hmm.  Just a wild guess, but try deleting gdm.pid, or renaming it if you
want to keep it around just in case, and rebooting or restarting kde again.
 It may just be left around from some historical incident.  If it gets
recreated and the failure occurs, you'll have to actually figure out what's
going wrong.  There's probably a better way for those knowledeable in these
things....
