I have:

Intel PC Pentium II
RH 5.2
D-link 220P Ethernet Card

I used the Dos disk to disable PNP.

In /etc/conf.modules I have the following:

alias eth0 ne2k-pci
options ne2k-pci io=0x280 irq=9

I believe that Autoprobe is not decting the card, and I get a message 
saying insmod (blah, blah) symbol parameter io not found.  I've been 
struggling with this card and the Ethernet HOWTO for days, and now I'm 
looking into getting a new card.  Any suggestions?

And supposing I do get a new card, I want one that will work for an FTP 
install for RH 6.0.  Any suggestions here as well?
