X Problems

Hi!
    I recently installed RH 5.2 on 2 machines. On the older m/c a 486 DX4
with 16 MB RAM, I am facing absolutely no problem whatsoever.
However, on the newer Celeron 300 with 32 MB RAM, X doesn't work the way it
should. It just refuses to start modt of the administration tools,
including the control panel. However, it does start almost any other programs.

What could be the reason?? Do I need to reinstall Linux?? (I have already
reinstalled X 3ice, just to be sure...)
