Off-topic questions related to Linux partitioning and installation
1. Windows 98 Norton Utilities
A diagnostic check with Win98 version of Norton Utilities Disk Doctor (NUDD)
identifies RH6 Linux partition as abnormal.
My Linux disk has a primary DOS partition of 100 MB and
on remainder of disk are Linux native partitions. Bootloader is
on first Linux partition and I boot Linux from custom startup disk.
NUDD asks if I want to "fix" the extended (Linux) partition table.
I answer "No." Would "Yes" damage the Linux partitions?
2. Unix version of Norton Utilities
I think that NU is available for Windows NT and some other Unix flavors.
Besides badblocks, what are the comparable GPL or commercial
utility programs for Linux / Unix?
