Ok I admit it, I'm new to Linux and I thought I would try poking around
a little to figure things out.
I'm running a Win98/Linux machine and decided to play with the Kernel
in Redhat 6.0. Really it's not my fault, I thought I could just go to the RH
FTP site find any updates or patches and install them with the click of the
mouse :)
Any how to make a long story short I managed to make a little mess of things.
I'm able to start the system and use Linux to an extent, but I think I would be
better off trying everything over from scratch.
My partitions are as follows..
135MB /Swap file
15MB /Boot
2GB /Root
8 +/- GB Win98
I would just go into partition Magic program and format the Linux partitions
and just recreate them, but I'm concerned about the Lilo program that boots on
startup. Should I unload Lilo in some special way?
I do have the RD install CD if that makes any difference.
Please if anyone has any ideas on how I should go about putting things back
together
let me know.
Thank you!
Jay
