Hello,
I am in the process of getting a DSL connection so I will be installing the
additional nic card in my Linux server.
I have a slew of questions about how to set this up. I will ask one of them
here and then would appreciate references to any useful sites/texts.
1. the connection will be through USWest.net and they will provide me with a
ppp connection and 6 static ip addresses. They will only allow one listing
on there DNS server. So my question is can I register a name with the
internic that that I would provide to USWest's DNS server and then have this
connection point to the DNS server on my Linux box for further
dissemination? I know this seems convoluted but I assume my DNS server
would be checked for addresses when a request is sent. Something just
doesn't seem right with this idea so if anyone has solutions I would greatly
appreciate it.
Thanks,
Mike
