I've done something bad, I guess... trying to change permissions so I could open kfm as User to get the same WordPerfect icon I have as root, ... Before: I was able to use kppp as User; was able to open the File Manager from User (a window prompting me for root password); I had WordPerfect launching from User without prompting me for a registration key or for telling me that preferences could not be saved in path/root/wprc.... All this: gone! Rings a bell to anyone with more experience? How can I repair that ?... My last resort will be to stop bothering about user, and do everything from root, until I scrap everything... I tought I was starting to become good and understand more with that cult-like system, but ... Thanks for helping again, Robert
