Mike,
First, why do you need a second NIC? If you already have one in the machine and it is
connected to a hub then why not just connect the DSL router to the same hub? I run several
(amongst other types) two Linux servers on my home network and neither one has two NICs
installed.
With regard to your domain ... it is possible to do what you want -- IF -- your ISP will
permit it. Most ISPs ask whether or not you have an existing domain you want transferred to
their DNS and will usually offer to perform the transfer at no additional fee. The other
option is to get the ISP to register a new domain for you -- which is really not an option if
you want/need to retain an already registered name.
