Darn darn darn. I'm used the the old supplemental disk, which (according
to my fuzzy memory) provided a shell prompt before connecting to the
archive.

Is there a way to tell the installer I want to get the files for the second
stage from one archive, but the bulk of the packages from another?

Basically, I need to do some fiddling before I get a connection to the
Internet. I'm happy to download enough files to get to stage 2 to a
machine on the local network (the base/ directory and maybe the
instimage/ directory, I presume), but not all the packages. So I want to
pop in the boot disk, point it at a local archive, proceed until I get a
shell prompt, futz and fiddle with the network setup, then point the
installer at an external RedHat mirror for the rest of the install.

Can this easily be done with RedHat 6.0?

(I realize at this point that it's probably easiest just to configure a
local proxy server, since the installer seems to support proxies. I'll
probably do that.)

Thanks much for your quick reply,
Andrew
