In linux there are "binary" files, just like executable (.exe) files in
windows. However, the binary files in linux work system wide, meaning you can
type "kppp" , anywhere, you don't have to go to a specific folder to type it.
Kppp is difficult to set up for a new user. And if you have a dynamic IP
address like me, you will find that applications won't run after you connect to
the internet, since the hostname changes and the applications can no longer
connect to the correct hostname. It is much faster, and easier to set it up
with "netcfg" , if you need further help with this, or a better explanations,
post again or just email me at alleve idirect com
