Type "control-panel" from inside an Xwindow session from a root xterm ,
and you'll find a icon of a phone to set the com port, and a group of
computers on another icon to create the ppp interface, add the DNS
numbers, your domain name etc. Then highlight the interface you have
created (ppp0) and use the two buttons called "activate" and
"deactivate" to turn your modem on and off. use PAP tpp.
First go here to see if your modem is in fact supportable.
