hi
i know how i can download file with ftp program.
what i wanted to ask is.. especially when i am connected to bbs.
(to download file from bbs such as AOL)
i connect there with id and password
and they say i should type "dn #(number)", but i think i can't
download a file with that command because i'm using telnet mode.
in win. when i use "netterm" program, it turns on z-modem when i type
that command.
is is clear?
TT. i'm not good at english.. don't be angry.
thx!~

If this is a joke it's not a very good one, if not then the answer is yes,
FTP was originally developed on UNIX systems. There are probably hundreds
of programs available for Linux which act as FTP clients (heck, even rpm
can do it). The two basic FTP clients which are most likely to have been
installed automatically with RedHat are "ncftp" and "ftp" either of which
you can run from the command line. There are also a dozen or so other
packages on most RedHat cds which can provide you with an FTP client (e.g.
Netscape, wget, gftp, etc.). Not to be impolite, but you should at least
look at SOME of the documentation before mailing the list.
