Boot up and edit your /etc/lilo.conf file (correct/check it).
If you post it I can offer an opinion, but otherwise check
the lilo man page ("man lilo" or "man lilo.conf").

Then run /sbin/lilo.  This is the critical part.
Reboot (hopefully).

Ummm. And make more than one boot disk for emergency by:
rdev yourkernel /dev/fd0
cp yourkernel /dev/fd0
for example:
rdev vmlinuz /dev/fd0
cp vmlinuz /dev/fd0

Hey guys! how did I do in my first answer over here?

But I still have many, many questions. :(
