From what I understand, the GPL is still available you just can't use
the words red hat on it right?
I think they are just trying to protect their copyright, you can't blame them for that. I bet they get all kinds of calls from people who
have bought a $1.95 CD asking for support because they thought they got
a good deal on Red Hat. I can just hear the lusers saying, "well it says
redhat right here on the label, you have to support it!"
Maybe you could call it the blue underwear release or something? Like
someone else said, you can probably get away with listing the website
that you downloaded it from on the CD. That would explain it.
