Re: Bad login on x-server?

Thank you for your kind reply;
This is the message I get when I try to startx as normal user;

Authentication failed
-X11TransSocketUNIXConnect; Can't connect : erro = 111 giving up
xinit: Connection refused (errno 111): unable to connect to Xserver
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.

I guess , to stick to the point and first-things-first , what I need to know is how do I  'startx' as user or root without this error message.

I looked up the Redhat FAQ on 'errno 111'  they said put an 'ln -s ' between xserver-wrapper and ./x and between XF86SVGA" and ./x . but I dont see xserver-wrapper file in /usr/X11R6/bin and why the ' " ' on the end of SVGA ?

Thanks; bill
