Hi;
I wrote in before on this and Denice was kind enough to help. He suggested
that I stop the xfs and remove the .XOlock then restart. I tried that and
it seems just the same. I checked the links bet xwrapper,X and SVGA and it
all looks regulation. So after staring at log files, helpbooks, and file
configurations for the last five days I'm stumpped.
Here's the original problem; ( I can't attatch, reply or quote right now
cause I hosed my mail, but thats a problem for another list?). When I log
in as user and enter 'startx'these msgs show.
Authentication failed
-X11TransSocketUNIXConnect; Can't connect : errno = 111 giving up
xinit: Connection refused (errno 111): unable to connect to Xserver
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error
When I log in as root and 'startx' we go right to wmaker as default, when
I su to user and try to start an app like kab I get;
xlib: connection to "0.0" refused by server
xlib: Invalid MIT_MAGIC_COOKIE-1 key
kab: cannot connect to x server :"0.0"
whats going on guys?
