Hi,
I have been given some old-ish machines to have in my lab, and
have sucessfully installed Linux on one of them. The problem is
with XFree86 configuration. I just can't get more than VGA. I
have S3 Vision 864 video and am using an HP Ultra 1280 monitor.
Seems to me that _at least_ SVA should be possible. If I use
XF86Setup to create a config file that should allow higher
resolution, the result is that the screen looks like a TV
station after the national anthem... All snow.
Anyone have any good ideas or perhaps a config file I should try?
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
