Ok, I installed RH 6 a week ago, and it marked it used something like 320 MB, both during install, and close to that when explored from within Windows - via Partition Magic. Then I fooled a bit trying to install WordPerfect 8 : I first copied all files in a directory I have created. Then as my trials always failed, I scrapped everything to the Trash. I went root, and emptied the trash. Before I finally copied another version of WordPerfect and install it, Partition Magic was still showing around 420MB used: that is almost 100MB more than my installation of Linux, and I can't see what these MB are!!... Any explanation of what may have happened?? Does the trash empty in... another (hidden) trash ??... Note: I may sound a bit shaky about a space "as little" as 100MB, but my entire space devoted to Linux is 700 MB... (plus a mere 70 MB for swap). Thanks, Robert
