RE: Samba svc: unknown version (3)

Well, I have a mix of Windows 98, 95, NT 4, W2000 and RH 6.

This is my smb.conf

; /etc/smb.conf
;
; Make sure and restart the server after making changes to this file:
; /etc/rc.d/init.d/smb restart
;

[global]

  guest account = nobody

# This is the workgroup
   workgroup = workgroup

# This will be seen in the description field
   server string = Linux Server

# This option is important for security. It allows you to restrict
# connections to machines which are on your locl network.
   hosts allow = 128.1.50. 128.1.51. 127.

# This tells Samba to make a log file for each machine that connects
   log file = /var/log/samba-log.%m

   lock directory = /var/lock/samba

   share modes = yes

[public]
   comment = Public Workspace
   path = /home/samba
   public = yes
   writeable = yes
   printable = no

# [html]
# comment = HTML Files
#  path = /network/html
#  public = no
#  writeable = yes
#  printable = no
#  write list = @identity

   printable = no
   write list = @identity

[Password]
   encrypt passwords = yes
   smb passwd file = /etc/smbpasswd

I need more information about your configuration. I have also problems with
Samba.

I think the problem is not Samba but NT. I make a view of changes in
smb.conf
but notting does work.

I work with RedHat 6.0 and SuSe 6.1 and a NT primary domain controller.
