Perhaps you dont _need_ linux for that, but it would do a damn fine job of it. I
dont know much about Windows CE but I would be surprised if it were more suited
to netwiork appliances than Linux.

If you think migration and configuration is hard, it doesnt necessarily mean
it's more expensive to roll out Linux - you can use part of the money you saved
on licensing to pay people to set up and configure things exactly as you want
them...
