You will be able to get the resolution and depth you want with the right
modeline settings. Try the xvidtune app and also the video timings howto

The laptop is a pentium 200MMX with 12.2" TFT,1.2Giga HD, 64Mb ram
The brand is Hyberbok made by SUNREX
model  hb 8603 (mm77t)
video adapter is C&T 65554
As far as know RH suppurts all the hardware
During install recognizes correct the Video adapter but I think something
goes wrong when I set the display as LCD 800x600 .I tryied also to set it as
generic display but the only way it works is at 640x480 in 8bit (while it
should be able to give at least 800x600 at 16 bit).
one more thing is that when I try to go back to the display dialog (during
installation) from the configure X then the display options are gone and I
can't change any more.......
