crc - cyclic redundancy check
basically, it means that there was a data reliability error while trying to
load the kernel.
A good description an be found here: (and many other places as well, I'm sure)
http://ftp.ice.ntnu.edu.tw/docs/roger/CRCMYST.HTM
Perhaps there's a bad spot on the drive where the kernel is stored. During
installation, did you check the option for"check for bad blocks during
format?" This might help.
If the drive has some bad sectors (they all do) which are not excluded from
use before writing data to them, it's possible to have this happen.
I'd be that you're very close. Try installation again, and take the time
to let it find bad hard disk blocks and mark them as unusable.
Hope this helps!

Tom
