yes in Xconfigurator after you either input the information about your
video/monitor manually or your have Linux auto probe you will get a screen
where you can select the various color depths and resolutions..

Hi everyone ,
my X window always run with screen resolution 640x480 . I have two OS on my
computer win98 and Linux . In windows I work under 800x600 or 1024x* . I use
AOC Spectrum 5 Glr+ monitor and S3Trio3D video card . Can somebody help me ?
I have tried Ctrl+Alt+<keypad +> . Nothing ! I have tried Xconfigurator but
I didn't found menu for screen resolution ! What can I do to start x with
different resolution ?
