Hi,
I'm trying to get my Linux installtion to run just as well as my
windows 95 insalltion on my dual boot system.
At the moment I'm working on getting X-Windows to give me the
same resolution as on Windows 95.
Using all the "automatic" functions of Xconfigurator, I'm able to run
only 8bit colour on 640x480 screen resolution.
On Windows95 I can run 16 bit 800x600 resolution.
I guess that Xconfigurator is probing te memory on my screencard
wrong.
I get a PCI Entry Trident Microsystems TGUI 9440 .
Is there a way I can see how much memory is actually installed on
my VGA card?
Thanks
Nico
