Re: Sound Card



A couple of months ago Aureal stated that they plan to release Linux drivers
some time 'soon'. I haven't seen the driver yet.

There is a beta test time limited driver demo available from 
4Front-tech.com. Unfortunately 4Front drivers are not free, you can probably
get a new card cheaper than buying the 4Front driver. 4Front stopped work on it
when Aureal announced they were going to support their card under Linux - leaving
Aureal owners in Limbo.

Sorry that the news is not good. I have an Aureal, and have been waiting since
last March for a driver. I gave up and bought a card (Hoontech) that is both
technically superior and well supported for something like $35.
