Hi,
I have a very nice US 101 keyboard (that usually
comes with high end HP wokstations) in my PC
running RH 5.2 GNU/Linux. This is great for
programming, but many times I need to write
portuguese characters and so far I didn't discover
how to do it on my american keyboard... So my
question is: if you are american and running
Linux, you probably have an american keyboard. If
you need to write a letter in portuguese, spanish,
french, german, etc... how do you actually do it?
(Please note that I am aware of showkey and
/etc/sysconfig/keyboard and I know how to change
my keymap, which currently is:
/usr/lib/kbd/keymaps/i386/qwerty/us.map.gz)
Thanks!
