Re: Really slow installation



I had this problem on my first installation - it took 38 hours. Since I was
experimenting for the first time, on my own, I thought this was normal for
Linux! I was installing from CD. Eventually I nticed dozens of the same log
message 'lost HDB interrupt'. I bought a new CD rom drive - that fixed it. I
have had problems with those cards - I bet it's the card.
