hi,
Now I have a really huge problem. I've been trying to install a D-Link
DFE-530TX+ 10 / 100 Ethernet card. After I put the card into one of my PCI
slots, I rebooted the machine, and Red Hat linux autodetected the card. A
configuration tool was loaded, and Red Hat configured the card, and installed a
driver automatically. However, when netconfig was loaded, I entered the IP,
netmask, etc. and when I clicked 'ok' a message appeared : 'kernel dumped.
Segmentation fault.' What does that mean? What did I do wrong? Maybe it's the
wrong driver, because the network card came with a linux driver on a floppy
disk. If so, how do I install that driver? I guess you can't help me with
that, because you don't know the driver... anyway, if I install the new driver,
do I have to remove the old one? If so, how do I do that?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated
thanks,
Dominik
