RE: Removing Gnome and adjusting video

As far as removing GNOME you can do that thru RPM, Kpackage to remove all
the files related to GNOME. Second question that you can use Xconfigurator
to change resolution...

Subject: Removing Gnome and adjusting video

I'm using a Gateway Solo laptop dual booted with BootMagic between Win98
and RedHat6.1. Partitioned with 3G for Windows and 1 G for Linux. The video
card is a NeoMagic with 2 MG video ram (I think). The PCMCIA card is a
Megahertz Ethernet-Modem PC Card (model XJEM3288).

I have been unable to figure out how to remove Gnome from my RedHat 6.1
install. If it's simple, I'd appreciate hearing what the trick is. If it's
complicated, please tell me what words to use and where to search. I've
found lots of information on installing windows mangers but nothing on
removing them.

The screen resolution appears to be 640x480. Where does one go to change
the resolution to 800x600.

I'm most appreciative any assistance you may extend.
