Re: python scriptable kickstart?

Hey all :-)
In reply to my own post. I've been exploring
kickstart in detail, and I've found some aspects of
how kickstart is python is "scriptable". I especially
look forward to the "driverdisk" argument, as this
would make what I'm trying to do work.

When I boot of the kickstarted bootnet image floppy (I
created) the controllers for scsi aren't present. In
kickstart mode, it doesn't ask for a driver disk
(which I now know how to make :-). I'm a novice Python
programmer, but I'm going to spend some time trying to
implement this so I can get this done now.

As a spoiled user of HPUX's Ignite, I'd love to see
kickstart get to this level of automated installation.
I'm just casting my vote here for it :-).

If any anaconda developers are listening, all I want
for christmas 6.2 is the driverdisk kickstart command.
I'd even be willing to contribute what code I can and
my "real world" scenarios as far as kickstart
installations are concerned.

Thanks!
