The command I used which worked in both RedHat 5.2 and RedHat 6.1 was as =

follows:

mount -t msdos /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy

I used msdos because most of my floppy disk are of the dos version (vfat =
as=20
opposed to msdos would also be good if not better if you are also using =
Windows=20
98)

You would of course also have to have the directory /mnt/floppy before =
mounting=20
your floppy disk - but this you probably know, particularly if you've =
already=20
mounted your cdrom.

I don't know how you set up your system, but you may have to be su =
(superuser)=20
in order to do it.

Good luck!

need help, typical problem
the manuals say it, i do it, it doesnt work.

im trying to read a floppy from the term and/or gnome but neither works.

at term i type mount /floppy (tried mount /A; mount -msdos...etc(for bsd
hoping that would work.)
--but it gives me the error: cannot find file in the /dev/sflab or
something.

do i need a driver, what?, it recognizes in the bios, and the cdrom
mount works... is it a bad/incompatible drive? (its a flipping floppy
for heaven's sakes!)

...all os' is great till they dont work. ;P
