I'm glad you got it working. Now let's see if the rescue
disk gets updated to include the apps nad /dev/* nodes
and mkinitrd gets fixed to include the tape modules correctly.

So it appears that mkinitrd didn't include the st.o module
like you asked it too. That's one of the reasons I don't
use the initial RAM disk. If I need a module at boot
time, I build it into the kernel :)
