Hi Guys,
I am currently having problem in setting up my Linux OS at
home to have internet access.
I am using kppp (terminal based script) for the dialup, the
modem is Ok, I can actually logged at the server
and have a prompt, but I cannot surf in the internet.
At the prompt when I command "pppd" I get error message, but
I can successfuly ping the addresses
TZAS23>pppd
-Translating pppd....domain nameserver
(217.1.xxx.xxx) (217.1.xxx.x) (129.188.x.x)
Unknown command or computer name, unable to find computer.
TZAS23>ping 217.1.xxx.xxx
success rate is 100%
After getting the prompt what should I do? HTTP proxy is
setup the same at my WIN2000 setup.
Linux 6.2
Please help and thanks again for all the support
NPI
