Does the bios detect the cd drive. If yes then which IDE interface is
it connected to. The Primary master (Ist IDE) is named as hda
Primary Slave hdb
Secondary Master hdc
^^^ Slave hdd
Check to which /dev/hd? is your /dev/cdrom is linked.
