ipchains and VPN s/w?

I would like VPN to my company network, but I can't seem to figure out how 
to properly setup my ipchains rule for the VPN s/w.  This is what I've been 
trying:
/sbin/ipchains -P forward DENY
/sbin/ipchains -A forward -s 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 -j MASQ
/sbin/ipchains -A -i <Internet IP> -R 192.168.1.3
# <Inetnet IP> not displayed for security reasons

My IP forwarding is working fine I just need help with the VPN config.

OS:     RedHat 6.2
Kernel: 2.2.14-5.0
