I want to network my Windows98 box to my Linux box. Both have
cards. I haven't discovered what kind yet. THis question is
theoretical. Do I need anything in between the two like a router of
something?
What with all the attacks on Bill's software my theory was to make
my Linux machine a buffer between the outside world and
Windows. Everything coming in over a phone line would have to go
through Linux. I already have too big an investment in Windows
software to just completely switch to Linux. I'm not even sure that
I'll ever get Linux completely set up. The investment in time seems
to be enormous. It's kind of fun though. It reminds me of CPM and
my Kaypro. There's no being uninvolved. : )
