server setup (newbie)

i am going to be getting a brand new box in the next couple of days and will 
be trying to set up linux and eventually apache on it.  i bought o'reilly's 
book "learning redhat linux" a while ago to read up on what i should know, 
but it assumes one is installing linux along side an existing OS.  what i 
want to know is how i should prepare my hard drive (13 Gig) for the kind of 
application (server) i am trying to attain.
Specs...
PIII 450
13 Gig HD
128M RAM
Standard CD, Floppy, sound/video cards. (make model not yet known)
10/100 3Com NIC
