RE: fdisk command



When you use the fdisk command and then alter the partition tables then it will wipe anything on there anyway, so you dont need to format anything before using the fdisk command, however, you will need to format the drive(s) afterwards.

 I'm trying to do an fdisk in my linux redhat 6.2. Should i format first before i do an fdisk. When i do a : man fdisk. I'm able to read the manuals for fdisk but not when i'm trying to execute the command fdisk.
Your help is alot appreciated.
