RE: Pcmcia networking?

Well on your NIC Configurations you could go into LINUXCONF after loging in. before Starting X Window. Go into your network settings and input ip or DHCP info if relevant. My REDHAT works on a 4 PC Network / 1 win2k adv server / 1 98 wks / 1 95 wks / and Linux box. all working on sharded tcpip via w2k Server.

Your sound issue is well IBM problem unless you have called them and asked them for MWAVE or CRYSTAL AUDIO update file for UNIX / LINUX
I know that your sound is choopy due to the MWAVE CHIPSET TECH. call ibm find out if they have it or

Or here for driver list for 770 models. http://www.pc.ibm.com/support?lang=en_US&page=brand&brand=IBM+ThinkPad%7CThinkPad+770&doctype=Downloadable+files&family=IBM+ThinkPad%7CThinkPad+770&machineType=

Subject: Pcmcia networking?

Just loaded up 6.2 on a IBM thinkpad 770.
I have a Intel Pro/100 Cardbus 56k modem card I wanna get working with it.
The machine sees it but says its unsupported in /var/log/messages.
The manfid is 0x0089, 0x0103. Has anyone got this card working on 6.2 yet?
Then, when/if it ever does work, does it assign like eth0 automatically, or is there something else I gotta do after that?

Side note:
System sounds in X-windows. I have the sound card setup and the test sounds fine, but when I activate sound server in X the sound is slow and choppy. Any clues on that or is my machine just too slow? (233 mmx)

Thanks
